CVR is a member of the Portuguese Pact for Plastics

CVR - Center for Waste Valorisation is officially a member of the Portuguese Pact for Plastics, in the week in which the Pact celebrates its first anniversary.

The Portuguese Pact for Plastics is an unprecedented collaboration platform, which brings together the different actors in the national plastic value chain: Government, producers, retailers, recycling entities, universities, NGOs, associations, and others. Together, through individual and collective efforts, these entities will be able to achieve the ambitious goals established for 2025 and overcome this complex sustainability paradigm.

Having the objective of solving, from the beginning, the problems associated with plastic and promoting the circular economy, the Portuguese Pact for Plastics encourages dialogue, partnerships and collaboration among its members to develop innovative solutions that will speed up the transition to a circular economy for plastics in Portugal.

This initiative is led by the Smart Waste Portugal Association, and has the support of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action, the Ministry of the Sea, the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transition, and the High Sponsorship of His Excellency, the President of the Republic , as part of the The Plastics Pact - Ellen MacArthur Foundation network. And because plastic touches everyone, we are all needed to solve the plastics' sustainability problems and, therefore, the Pact aims to mobilize Portuguese society in the process of transition to a circular plastic economy in Portugal.
